Before adding ANY new lead to the SoT workbook, HubSpot, or SmartLead, check:

Search by address AND lead_id (Rnumber). Addresses have variant spellings ("US Hwy 40" vs "US Highway 40"); lead_ids are canonical.
Why: 805 leads with overlapping sources (EagleWeb, GIS, Treasurer, competitor scrapes) means duplicates creep in easily. A dup in SoT silently creates a dup in HubSpot and breaks reconciliation. We've had to manually repair dual-ID shared-email pairs multiple times.
How to apply: Dedup check is non-skippable. If running hubspot-lead-push or vt-hubspot-push, verify the lead isn't already in the inventory first. If it exists, update rather than insert.
